Our STEAM
Curriculum
A joyful, play-based approach that weaves Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, Music, Nature, and Literacy into every single day.
"Children are not vessels to be filled, but fires to be kindled."
— The philosophy behind every Curie classroom
Eight Pillars of Learning
Every pillar is woven into daily routines — not taught in isolation, but experienced as a connected, joyful whole.
Science
Children become little scientists — observing, questioning, and experimenting with the natural world through sensory bins, nature walks, and simple experiments.
- Sink & float experiments
- Plant life cycles
- Weather observation journals
- Color mixing lab
Technology
Age-appropriate introduction to digital tools, coding concepts, and problem-solving through interactive apps, programmable toys, and screen-free coding games.
- Bee-Bot coding robots
- Digital storytelling
- Interactive SMART boards
- Screen-free sequencing games
Engineering
Building, designing, and testing — children develop spatial reasoning and persistence through block play, construction challenges, and maker projects.
- Block & LEGO challenges
- Bridge-building contests
- Ramp & marble runs

Low Teacher-to-Child Ratios
Maximum ratios follow Virginia licensing requirements. In practice we typically operate below them, so every child receives the individual attention they deserve.
